What customization options are available for Hilin micro pumps?

Our customization options are divided into four major categories, offering extensive choices to meet diverse customer requirements.

1. Parameter Customization:
We can customize flow parameters, pressure parameters, power supply parameters, and lifespan parameters. For special parameter requirements that cannot be met by our standard products, please contact the Hilin Chengdu pre-sales engineers to obtain a quotation for parameter customization options.

2. Operating Temperature Customization:
Our standard products typically operate within an ambient temperature range of 0-50°C. If operation in lower or higher ambient temperatures is required, specially designed ambient temperature models can be ordered. There are also temperature requirements for the gas or liquid medium being pumped. If there is a need to pump special high-temperature gas or liquid, our company can provide high-temperature medium custom products capable of handling media up to 100°C.

3. Function and Connector Customization:
For specific control function requirements, such as compatibility with particular control signals, or for specific material or size requirements for inlet/outlet ports, our company can provide customization options.

4. Special Customization Options:
For special customization needs beyond the above standard options, our company offers project-based custom R&D services. We can perform custom development and production to meet unique, non-standard customer demands, such as military standard products, special materials or dimensions, or specific functions/parameters. For details, please contact the Hilin Chengdu pre-sales engineers.

What effects can be achieved by connecting miniature diaphragm vacuum pumps in series or parallel?

Common miniature diaphragm vacuum pumps include single-head and double-head pumps. Double-head pumps allow for the series or parallel connection of the two pump heads.

  • Parallel connection of double heads increases flow rate. Neglecting pneumatic circuit attenuation, the theoretical flow rate is the sum of the two pumps, while the pressure remains unchanged.
  • Series connection of double heads increases pressure, but not multiplicatively. This secondary compression or evacuation needs to be calculated based on the pump’s compression ratio or evacuation ratio (which is fixed for a given pump).

For example: The relative vacuum level of our miniature single-head vacuum pump model VBY8009A is -80 kPa (standard atmospheric pressure is 101 kPa), which converts to an absolute pressure of 21 kPa. The evacuation ratio of this pump is approximately 0.207. When two VBY8009A pumps are connected in series, the second pump continues evacuation starting from the absolute pressure of 21 kPa achieved by the first pump. If the evacuation ratios of both pumps are consistent, the absolute pressure after the second pump’s evacuation would be 4.36 kPa. At this point, the relative vacuum level would be approximately -96.63 kPa. Actual tests align closely with this theoretical calculation.

Currently, Hilin micro pumps also feature dual-chamber pump applications utilizing series connection for pressure boost or parallel connection for flow increase, such as the C60, D60, and C61 series. However, our series/parallel configurations are integrated within the pump housing. If there is a need for external double-head pump configurations, please consult with our staff for further discussion.

Which models of Hilin miniature air pumps are suitable for portable applications?

We often receive inquiries from customers about air pumps suitable for portable applications, such as mobile atmospheric monitoring. Portable applications typically have the following characteristics:

  1. Compact size, lightweight, and easy to install.
  2. Primarily used outdoors and powered by batteries.
  3. Long lifespan and maintenance-free.

To address the needs of portable applications, Hilin Technology offers mature and widely applied product solutions, including:

  • The D15 series miniature air pumps, which feature integrated voltage stabilization modules and are suitable for wide-voltage battery power supply without compromising performance parameters.
  • The D23 series miniature air pumps, known for their ultra-quiet operation and excellent air tightness.
  • The D09 series compact pumps, which are only about the size of a thumb and have low power consumption.
  • The D25 series miniature air pumps, which offer high cost-effectiveness.

For portable applications with other specific requirements, please consult our staff for further assistance.
