SCPV Servo Proportional Valve is Here!
Hilin Technology, a professional manufacturer specializing in the R&D and production of fluid control solutions, is dedicated to providing precise and reliable fluid drive components for the medical, analytical, and environmental protection industries. To achieve accurate fluid control, we introduce the SCPV Series Servo-Controlled Proportional Valve. Compared to proportional solenoid valves, the SCPV Servo-Controlled Proportional Valve delivers:
No dead zone, high linearity, minimal hysteresis, no temperature drift, high precision, and low heat generation.
So, what technologies has Hilin Technology adopted to achieve and overcome the above challenges?

1.No Dead Zone
A proportional solenoid valve generates electromagnetic force by energizing its coil to overcome frictional resistance. However, since the weak electromagnetic force produced by minimal control signals is insufficient to move the spool against friction, a dead zone is inevitable. In contrast, the SCPV servo proportional valve employs servo position control, where even minute changes in the control signal can drive the spool to make micro-adjustments, thereby achieving dead-zone-free control.

2.High Linearity
With 20 years of technical expertise in precision flow control valves, Hilin Technology has profound and unique insights into the flow path design of flow control valves. We have established a mathematical-fluid simulation model for valve body flow. Years of engineering practice have allowed us to accumulate extensive design and measured data, enabling us to refine the linearity of our mathematical and simulation models. This results in an optimized flow path structure design, where the control signal, spool movement, closed-loop position, fluid passage, and pressure-flow characteristics benefit from both theoretical calculations and engineering practice. This gives the SCPV Servo Proportional Valve unparalleled control linearity.
3.Minimal Hysteresis
By replacing the solenoid coil with a servo system as the driving component for the valve spool, the system naturally avoids differences in spool position due to rising/falling current directions. In the servo system, the valve spool position is continuously detected and controlled by a high-precision position sensor. Therefore, regardless of the control signal direction, the spool can be moved and accurately stopped at the specified position, thereby minimizing and eliminating hysteresis.
4.No Temperature Drift
As temperature changes, the resistance of the solenoid coil varies, altering the current flowing through the coil and the electromagnetic force it generates. It can be said that temperature drift is an unavoidable issue for solenoid-driven valves, which can only be mitigated by optimizing materials, design, and adding temperature drift compensation circuits. Since the servo system eliminates the solenoid coil as the driving component, the valve spool’s operating state is solely controlled by the external input command and features closed-loop position control capability, making it inherently free from temperature drift.
5.High Precision
The critical flow components of the SCPV Servo Proportional Valve are precision-machined using multi-axis CNC machining centers, ensuring precise component fit. Additionally, a high-precision position sensor is innovatively employed as the data source for servo control of the spool movement. This sensor can detect minute spool displacements as small as 122 nanometers and control the servo system to execute spool movement commands with a precision of 313 nanometers, achieving extremely high control accuracy and resolution.
6.Low Heat Generation
With the support of the high-precision servo control system, the servo proportional valve only requires mechanical energy input when the spool is moving. When the spool remains stationary, no mechanical energy is consumed. The “on-demand force” control method is adopted for spool movement, using the minimum energy required for mechanical displacement. As a result, the valve generates almost no heat during operation and has no heating effect on the medium.
